Shannon Smith Johnson
Overview
Shannon Smith Johnson provides general counsel legal services for various Colorado special districts, transportation and public highway authorities, and other public entities. She assists clients by providing representation in areas of real property, public financing, contracts, legislative analysis, elections, and day-to-day legal assistance. Ms. Johnson assists clients with soliciting, drafting, negotiating, and administering both vertical and large-scale horizontal capital construction contracts, including Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) contracts and packages and integrated project delivery (IPD) contracts comprising design-build methodologies. Ms. Johnson is a member of the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations, Colorado Bar Association Government Counsel Section, Special District Association, and International Bridge and Tunnel and Turnpike Association. Ms. Johnson received a Bachelor of Arts from University of Wyoming where she graduated summa cum laude. Ms. Johnson received her Juris Doctorate from Michigan State University College of Law where she graduated summa cum laude and served as a senior editor of the Michigan State Law Review.
