Overview
Alan D. Pogue specializes in special district and local government law, homeowners associations, commercial real estate development, residential real estate development, and resort real estate development. Mr. Pogue advises real estate developers in infrastructure financing mechanisms, including the formation of Title 32 special districts and other municipal financing vehicles.He assists Colorado special districts with their day-to-day legal issues, intergovernmental relationships, financing alternatives, covenant enforcement issues, and other legal matters and challenges that arise. Mr. Pogue also provides legal services to homeowner associations including drafting, interpreting and amending governing documents; drafting contracts; and advising associations on issues of covenant enforcement and assessment collections. In addition, Mr. Pogue assists real estate resort developers in complying with interstate land sales registration requirements under federal and state laws.
Mr. Pogue received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia and obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver. Mr. Pogue is admitted to practice law in the States of Colorado and Georgia, and is admitted to the United States District Court for Colorado and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
